FINAL PROJECT
Why art artist statement:
The world is put together by art. Whether that is architecture , science and design, math, painting, drawing, music, movies or really anything you can think of it is all tied into art one way or another. For me I have used art as an escape. I started to really dive deep into art my 8th grade year of middle school. Art for me then didn't have too much of an underlying meaning. It was just something fun I was able to do with one of my best friends. Moving onto high school though I started to use writing and drawing as an escape route. Whenever i had a lot of my mind i would write it down and then draw something to go with it. I've dabbled with a lot of different types of art. I started to really find my passion in photography though my freshman year of high school. I was in the photography class and quite honestly spent the majority of that year sitting down at the computer working on my photos and videos. I loved the thought of being able to capture my life and activities and share them with others. As I've grown I have lost contact with alot of my art motivation but it is still there, i'm just not always focusing myself to create art. Or maybe I am because in a way sports like skiing and biking take their own form of art. Going on with life I'm hoping to continue my practice of art as an escape but also possibly using photography as a career.

project: skate
overview:
for this project Roxi gave me the idea to take photos of a person skating by me and make the object clear and the background moving to show movement. to do this i set my camera to a lower shutter speed and as he skated pant me i moved my body with the skater and took multiple photos. this gave me the effect i was looking for!

for this project we were asked to create a slide show for rule of thirds, diagonals, cemetery and a cemetery. for each rule we were told to have 5 images as examples. i was able to complete this for most of the rules but struggled with the last couple.
